Tensionic products cover a wide range of applications and come in three versions with different levels of performance and functionality. All three versions have multilingual digital display and configuration keys. Configuration keys are used to set different parameters and check the state of the tension system.
The 2 x 16 character display can display sum, difference, or individual weight sensor signals.
All three models are available in DIN rail type and enclosed IP 65 (NEMA 4) type for installation in harsher environments.
In order to control the tension, it is necessary to build a tension control system. Since tension can only be formed between two (or more) process equipment with driving (or braking) torques, the tension control system is constructed on the basis of two transmission control systems. One of the transmission control system as the speed of the tension control system, known as the speed reference system, and the other transmission control system according to the tension requirements to establish the load, the formation of tension, the essence is the speed of the speed reference system according to the required tension to follow, known as the tension controllable speed following system. The task of tension control is generally placed on the latter system, so people are used to only call the latter tension control system.
Tension control systems are varied due to different application situations, equipment and principles of composition. But according to the structure and control principle, it can be roughly summarized into three categories: direct tension control system, indirect tension control system and looper tension control system.
Direct tension control system
The system realizes the closed-loop feedback control of tension through the tension detection link (tension detection sensor). The direct tension control system between coiler and mill stands is shown in Figure 1 (a) and (b) respectively.
To achieve direct tension control, it is necessary to have tension detection sensor (tension meter) first. It is mounted under the tension roll of the tension measuring mechanism (see Figure 1). The tension meter is actually a pressure meter. The pressure meter in use has a variety of types, such as pressure magnetic type, induction type and resistance strain gauge type.
Direct tension control is mostly used for large range of tension adjustment, high accuracy requirements and easy to install tension meter, or in the absence of an indirect tension control system.
Sometimes, in order to improve the dynamic and static performance of tension regulation and expand the range of tension regulation, the indirect tension control is used to achieve rough adjustment, play the role of disturbance compensation, and the direct tension control is used to achieve fine adjustment. The two together constitute the tension compound control.
Direct tension control and tension compound control are mainly applied to strip, strip and foil cold rolling machines or continuous winding machines or tension control between the frames and processing equipment.
